Hi. I'm Bernie Carson.
My three daughters and I are BERNSEA Golden Retrievers.

Our Golden Retriever dogs are bred in our family home, in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. We are a registered breeder with Dogs West, ANKC and the GRCWA.

We are passionate about ethical breeding and animal welfare, and strive to be a reliable, responsible breeder of high-quality dogs. Our breeding program prioritises the health and quality of life of our dogs above all else.

Golden Retriever dogs have won our hearts with their gentle, friendly natures. They are free-moving, energetic, intelligent dogs who are perfectly suited to the laid-back, outdoor Perth lifestyle. With a Golden Retriever as your companion, you’ll have many cherished years ahead with wonderful memories.
When a BERNSEA Golden Retriever leaves our living room and joins your family, you can rest easy knowing that it has had a wholesome, warm and loving upbringing from the day it was born. You’ll have our support and advice throughout your dog’s lifetime, and join a community of dedicated, ethical Golden Retriever lovers.
We four Carsons are a nurse, an environmental science student, a dietician and a physicist - we've got these puppies covered!
ETHICAL BREEDING
As responsible breeders, animal welfare is our highest priority. We follow extremely strict breeding criteria, in line with the ANKC Code of Practice.

To us, ethical breeding includes:

Keeping up-to-date with expert advice around breeding and training

Hip and elbow X-rays, heart checks and eye tests for the parents of each litter

Breeding with dogs from both Australia and overseas to ensure robust, diverse genetic lines

Raising puppies with early neurological stimulation in a family environment

Only placing puppies with owners who are committed to a high standard of care for their new family member

Maintaining a relationship with owners throughout the dog's lifetime
